Culture of innovation

Since its creation in 1995, the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) has seen fit to establish in-house innovation setups to meet the needs of its online teaching and learning processes, adjusting and adapting its organizational and process model to manage innovation in this way.

The eLearning Innovation Center's (eLinC) commitment to raising awareness and establishing a culture of innovation in all the UOC's fields of action is part of this constant search for the right model. Creating a culture of innovation is key to increasing an organization's ability to innovate and facilitating the management and execution of innovative projects. This culture includes paying attention to our environment at all times, and observing trends in technologies, methodologies and the innovation management model itself, both in the educational sector in which we operate and in others.

In addition, this awareness-raising project occasionally includes talks given by people from outside the UOC working in entirely different sectors, who can give our staff new views and ideas.
