Joan X. Comella has a doctoral degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona (UB) and has been a full professor at the University of Lleida (UdL) since 2002 and at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) since 2007. Between September 2009 and October 2022 he was Scientific Director of the European Advanced Translational Research Infrastructure in Medicine and Director of the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR). He is currently Director of R&D at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona, combining this position with teaching at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
Itziar Larizgoitia is a doctor specializing in public health. She holds a doctoral degree in Health Policy and a master's degree in Public Health and Business Administration. Until February 2021 she was Senior Evaluation Officer at the World Health Organization (WHO), leading assessments in areas of institutional priority in order to inform strategic planning and thus promote a transparent and results-based organization. Her main interests relate to improving the quality, safety and performance of health systems and services based on a scientific and integrative approach. She is currently Director of Public Health for the Government of the Basque Country.
Marcelo D'Agostino is the Senior Advisor for Information Systems and Digital Health at the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization (WHO). He is a member of the WHO Global Digital Health Advisory Board, the COVID-19 Digital Health Council of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and of the COVID-19 Simulator at Harvard Medical School and the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has a master's degree in Information and Knowledge Management and has taken postgraduate and specialization courses in Digital Diplomacy, E-learning Design for Health, Global Diplomacy in the Modern World, Global Health Policy and Sustainable Development.
Nuria Oliver, is Director of Research in Data Science at Vodafone and Chief Data Scientist at Data-Pop Alliance. She has over 20 years of research experience in the areas of human behavior modeling and prediction from data and human-computer interaction. She holds a PhD in perceptual intelligence from MIT. She worked as a researcher at Microsoft Research for over 7 years and as the first female Scientific Director at Telefonica R&D for over 8 years.
Sara Pérez is a clinic Neuropsychologist and General Sanitary Psychologist, Sara Pérez is a professor in the Department of Basic Psychology II (Cognitive Processes) of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She is also head of the Clinical Neuropsychology Consultation, Neurology Service at Centro Médico Milenium Costa Rica Sanitas S.L. In addition, she is Neuropsychologist at the National Association of Apert Syndrome and other Sindromic Craniosynostosis (APERTCras) and academic member of EUPATI (The European Patients'Academy on Therapeutic Innovation) and coordinator of this platform.
Xavier Prats Monné és president del Patronat de l'Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau i assessor especial de Teach For All. Va ser director general de Salut i Seguretat Alimentària de la Comissió Europea entre el setembre del 2015 i el setembre del 2018. Durant aquests tres anys va ser responsable de les polítiques i els programes en matèria de salut i seguretat alimentària de la Unió Europea, que incloïen la promoció de la salut pública, l'avaluació dels sistemes nacionals de salut, la legislació farmacèutica, la salut i el benestar dels animals, i l'enfortiment de la capacitat d'Europa per fer front a situacions de crisi en l'àmbit de la salut humana i el sector de l'alimentació.
Antoni Trilla holds a bachelor's degree in Medicine (University of Barcelona, 1980), a doctoral degree in Medicine (University of Barcelona, 1990) and master's degrees in Hospital Management (University of Barcelona) and Health Economics (Pompeu Fabra University). He specializes in internal medicine and in preventive medicine and public health and is Senior Consultant and Head of the Preventive Medicine and Epidemiology Service at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. In addition, he is an associate professor of Public Health at the University of Barcelona, where he is also Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. In addition, he is a research professor at ISGlobal. He works in the fields of communicable diseases and vaccines.
