Since its creation, the UOC has been committed to quality, striving to achieve excellence in education services, training and organizational processes and ensuring the academic rigour of its programmes.
Since its beginnings, the UOC has been decisive in its commitment to quality and continuous improvement as the cornerstones of its strategy and as a differentiating factor and common feature of its activities. For this reason, the University has established a quality policy and has organized a quality system, defining its processes in line with the continuous improvement cycle, which describes four basic steps to achieve quality improvement: plan, do, assess or review, and act accordingly, that is, improve.
The certification of the UOC's Internal Quality Assurance System came into effect on 15 April 2021, after passing an external assessment conducted by AQU Catalunya.
Later, on 1 March 2022, the UOC is granted Institutional Accreditation by the University Council, which entails the accreditation of all the official bachelor's degrees and master's degrees coordinated by the UOC.
