The system indicators guarantee transparency and fairness in the analysis of information about degrees and facilitate accountability in accordance with European benchmarks regarding quality in higher education.
The teaching indicators that the university uses for its activity and accountability are academic results, satisfaction results and job integration results. The value analysis enables the university to define improvement actions.
This accountability is an inherent process in public service activities aimed at different interest groups:
- · Governance managers, who have to distribute the resources efficiently.
- · Universities, which have to analyse the indicator results to improve the quality of the training courses.
- · Future students, who deserve a quality course offering.
- · Society in general, as a receiver of the professionals and researchers who are educated at universities.
The indicators are the results that the university has for analysing and assessing its activity and level of achievement established in each of its fields of action. These are the mechanisms that universities have for monitoring degrees and producing a value assessment of the degree, established as a reflection from an academic perspective of how the degree functions.
