The UOC’s Organizational and Operational Regulations establish two types of authority: individual posts and governing bodies.

The UOC is also governed by an Academic Committee and a Management Committee, and it can count on student participation to ensure that the students' opinions, interests and contributions have an effective impact on the improvement to the institution through the fields of knowledge committees, the University Council, the Strategic Committee and the regional committees.
