We turn 25!
In October 1997, two years after the UOC was founded as the world's first online university, the Faculty of Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunications started teaching, launching two programmes in the field of computer science: one in systems informatics and the other in business informatics. Inspired by its 25th anniversary, here's a recap of some of the Faculty's main milestones.

EIMT celebrates 25 years!
The 1997/1998 course began with the degrees of Systems Computer Technical Engineering and Management Computer Technical Engineering. “We started with about 200 students for each of the two programmes,” Ramon Segret explains.
"I have seen the team grow: of the 3 people we were at the beginning, now we are close to 100"
Eugènia Santamaria is an associate professor at the EIMT. His activity focuses on the study of the use of virtual laboratories in technological degrees and recently, he has been a finalist for the DonaTIC Award.
